Disposable diapers

          Over the years women have struggled with dirty messes from their children before potty training. Throughout history different inventions have been introduced to make mothers’ lives easier. Disposable diapers are the best thing ever for a mother because they save time, last longer, and they are easier to get a hold of.

          First of all, the disposable diaper is great because it saves a mother time. When the diaper gets dirty it can be changed very easily and be thrown away. It is quickly replaced with a new and fresh diaper. The mother does not have to spend time washing the cloth diaper. Rather that time can be spend with her child. “Some advantages are ease of use and their size.  who ever thought of using Velcro on disposable diapers is a hero. Almost all disposable diapers have built in a ready to use straps made of Velcro that makes securing the diaper much easier and quicker than using a cloth diaper with safety pins” (Hubpages). The disposable diapers are much safer to use with child. 

          In addition, the disposable diaper lasts longer than a cloth diaper. With a cloth diaper it is easier for dirty messes to leak then it is with a disposable diaper. Also, they do not have to be changed as much the reason being they last longer because they have absorbent materials to absorb more. In addition, they keep everything where it is supposed to stay. “Another one of the advantages of disposable diapers is wetness protection and much more absorbent than their cloth counterpart. A baby can go potty in a disposable diaper many more times than a cloth diaper” (Hubpages). Since a baby can be left in disposable diapers longer there is less change of rash and infection.

          Finally, disposable diapers are so much easier to find than cloth diapers. For example, if a mother runs out of disposable diapers in the middle of the night it would be much easier for her to go find some in a convenience store. “Disposable diapers are convenient because they can be purchased at almost all retail stores” (Hubpages). Waiting for a delivery from a diaper service or hand wash a load of cloth diapers is highly inconvenient.

          On the contrary, some mothers like cloth diapers better because it is better for the environment. A mother can just wash them and reuse them and not just throw them away, filling landfills and harming the environment. If that is the reason there are “go green” disposable diapers. Some mothers also believe they do not have to keep spending money on disposable diapers. They can spend their money on more important things. However, hand washing diapers or a diaper service is not only costly, but time consuming as well.

          In conclusion the disposable diapers are very handy for mothers because they save time, last longer, and they are easier to get a hold of. Many mothers now days are very busy trying to give their child a better life that they do not have time to be hand washing diapers. A mother can just go to a locale Wall-Mart a get a box of diapers that will last her a while unlike the cloth diapers that can gets leaks very easily.
